The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife has introduced a new mobile application aimed at providing comprehensive information on Sport Fishing Regulations across the state.

Washington offers anglers an exceptionally diverse range of fishing opportunities, encompassing activities such as clam digging, salmon trolling, Dungeness crab potting, steelhead, trout, and bass fly fishing, halibut and rockfish jigging, as well as bait fishing for species including catfish, tuna, lingcod, and sturgeon. Managing these varied activities requires a set of regulations that can often be intricate and challenging to navigate.

To address this complexity, the Department has developed the Fish Washington mobile app. The application facilitates easier access to fishing regulations and local information:

• Allows users to browse by fishing locations.
• Provides detailed regulation data for specific bodies of water, including allowable species and gear restrictions.
• Enables searching for particular fishing spots to view relevant regulations both for current conditions and upcoming trips.
• Includes filtering options for target species.
• Offers features to share personal experiences or favorite fishing locations with friends and family.
• Provides real-time notifications regarding regulation changes and emergency rules.
